Short and workwear, the Caorliega represents the rustic and popular version of the tabarro. It was worn for various daily activities, for horseback riding or cycling. The name comes from the original model found in the wardrobe of a wealthy farmer who lived on Via Caorliega in Mirano (VE). In windy or cold conditions, a fabric flap under the collar allows the lapel to be closed around the neck.
